Great short summer read

Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress by Dai Sijie

The narrative follows two young boys living in China during the cultural revolution. With the spirit of innocence and childhood still in their minds adolescence struggles to breath as these young characters experience the workloads of traditional farmers. A lovely story filled with the magics of figurative language.
